Welcome to the Flying Yankee Shop Tour!
You will experience a behind the scenes look
what we have accomplished so far in the restoration. With each new visit to this site you will see more of our
accomplishments and be able to follow the most recent progress of the the project. The drawing at the top of the popup window will take
you to the area of the train that is highlighted.
The Flying Yankee is nearly 200 feet long and is designed for articulated operation. Her cars are never
separated during normal operation. She seats 130-140 passengers in air conditioned comfort and is designed to cruise
comfortably at 100 mph. She has logged 2.8 million miles while in service and nearly all of them were in New England.
