The baggage room is between the engine room and the galley. The picture at the left looks to the rear of the train through the galley door opening.
Both the galley and baggage rooms have been completely insulated and paneled in stainless steel. New trim has been fabricated to cover the panel seams and curved roof lines. The baggage doors have been repaired, glazed with FRA lexan and reinforced. Sliding tracks were repaired and reinforced. Latching hardware has been completely restored with newly fabricated stainless steel parts in the original brass housings.
The trains electrical power for heat, A/C, and lighting will be provided by a 80kw 480 volt generator which will be installed just in front of the photographer.
Just one of the corroded parts that was removed from the Flying Yankee and replaced.
